Terms of use

1. Purpose and scope

These terms of use govern access to nubiaesthetic.com, browsing its content and using features actually available. They apply to visitors, personal account holders, professionals and suppliers.

Purchases made directly from Nubia are also subject to the terms of sale and accepted specific terms. Acceptance of a paid offer is separate from browsing the website.

2. Presentation and role of Nubia

Nubia Esthetic is a directory and information platform devoted to Black and mixed-race skin, hair and the scalp, across Europe and Africa. The directory includes dermatology, aesthetic medicine, cosmetic surgery, beauty and hair concerns.

Nubia facilitates the discovery of professionals, suppliers and resources. A listing is not a general quality certification, personalised medical recommendation or guarantee of results. A professional title or qualification is the responsibility of the professional claiming it and must match their right to practise.

Sections still in preparation, including Nubia Shop, training, events or Nubia Premium when subscriptions are not open, do not create a right to a future service that has not been expressly ordered.

3. Free browsing and health information

Browsing the directory is free and does not require an account. Visitors remain responsible for their usual equipment and connection costs.

Articles and presentations provide general information. They do not replace diagnosis, consultation or a prescription. Nubia does not deliver treatment or handle emergencies. Questions about care should be addressed directly to the relevant professional.

Nubia forms are not intended to collect medical records. Do not send prescriptions, examination results, diagnoses or photographs of lesions.

4. Creating and managing accounts

Personal accounts are for personal use. Professional and supplier accounts must be used by a person authorised to represent the activity concerned. Creating an account alone does not constitute listing approval or a subscription.

Users provide accurate information, use an email address they can access and keep contact details up to date. Favourites, saved items and preference management are available only when actually offered in their account.

Users protect their login credentials and promptly report suspected misuse to contact@nubiaesthetic.com. Account use alone does not make them liable for a compromise attributable to Nubia. Minors use contractual features with their legal representative where required; no paid subscription may be taken out without the necessary legal capacity or authorisation.

5. Professional and supplier listings

Applicants guarantee the accuracy of their identity, activity, practice location, titles, specialities, contact details and content rights. They must hold and be able to evidence the authorisations, qualifications and insurance required for their activity. They inform Nubia of any suspension, significant change or loss of the right to practise.

Nubia may request clarification or evidence and refuse incomplete, out-of-scope, misleading or unlawful listings. Checks actually performed and their limits must be explained before using a term such as “verified”.

Publication follows listing approval. Details identified as public may be viewed and indexed; private contact details and verification documents are not intended for publication.

6. Search, ranking and featured placement

Available filters include searches by activity and location. Results depend on available listings and selected filters: Nubia does not claim to list every professional or supplier in an area.

Featured placement linked to a paid plan must be identifiable and separate from any assessment of quality of care. Lumière placements rotate by category and city within the limits of the accepted offer. They do not guarantee a permanent position, exclusivity or a volume of enquiries.

7. Relationships with third parties

Links to websites, booking tools or suppliers provide external access. Appointments, treatments, purchases or training agreed with a third party are governed by that party’s contract and terms, unless Nubia is expressly identified as the seller of a specific service.

Professionals and suppliers are responsible for their services, prices, availability and published information. Nubia remains responsible for its own obligations and faults; third-party involvement does not exempt it.

8. Content, photographs and intellectual property

Website texts, graphics and distinctive signs are protected to the extent provided by applicable rights. Viewing does not authorise commercial reproduction, bulk extraction or reuse without permission. Legally permitted uses, including short attributed quotations, remain possible.

Contributors retain rights to submitted content. They grant Nubia a non-exclusive licence to reproduce, display and technically adapt it only into formats needed to present their listing on the website, for the duration of the listing and with worldwide internet accessibility. Unrelated uses are not authorised.

Producing and sharing an interview, story or introductory social media post requires separate permission and approval of the content by the professional concerned. Refusing this communication does not prevent listing publication. Images must not show identifiable patients without an appropriate legal basis and permissions; Nubia requests images without identifiable patients for listings.

9. Prohibited uses and reports

Identity theft, false qualifications, misleading information, discriminatory or unlawful content, infringement of others’ rights, abusive solicitation, unauthorised bulk data collection and attempts to compromise website security are prohibited.

To report content, email contact@nubiaesthetic.com with the exact link, disputed material, reasons and, where possible, non-sensitive supporting evidence. Nubia reviews reports and takes appropriate action. Requests for correction or a reply may be made through the same channel, free of charge.

10. Moderation, suspension and closure

For a breach, Nubia may request a correction or proportionately suspend content or an account. Except for security emergencies, legal obligations or manifestly unlawful content, users are informed of the reasons and may comment or request a review at contact@nubiaesthetic.com.

Account closure may be requested through the same contact. It is separate from ending a subscription: financial consequences are governed by the terms of sale and applicable legal rights. Data needed for legal obligations or disputes is not automatically erased.

11. Availability and liability

Nubia takes reasonable steps to keep the website accessible, accurate and secure. Maintenance, incidents or changes may cause interruptions; significant planned interruptions are announced where possible.

Nubia does not guarantee search success, therapeutic outcomes, audience levels or revenue. This absence of a guaranteed result does not exclude liability for failing to fulfil its own commitments. No clause limits users’ mandatory rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Personal data and cookies

Data processing, recipients, retention periods and individuals’ rights are described in theprivacy policy. The banner allows optional cookies to be managed. Creating an account or accepting these terms does not constitute consent to newsletters or optional cookies.

13. Changes to the terms and disputes

The applicable version is the one communicated to users and accepted where required. Substantial account-related changes are announced in advance through an appropriate medium. Ongoing orders are not retrospectively changed without agreement or legal grounds.

These terms are governed by French law, subject to users’ mandatory protections, including those of their country of residence. Complaints may be sent to contact@nubiaesthetic.com. Legal rules determine the competent court; no exclusive court is imposed on consumers. Mediation arrangements for purchases are set out in the terms of sale.
